"It's April," Tsunade stated,
her hazel eyes narrowed with impatience and irritation.
Unlike the persistent chill in the
office, being the sole focus of the Hokage's dangerous mood made
Harry shiver. Harry nodded even though he didn't want to and said,
"It is."
"A spring month when the weather
gets comfortable," Tsunade said. “Not too warm or cold or wet.
A good month to be outdoors. Don't you agree?”
Harry nodded cautiously. "Yes?"
Tsunade leaned forward, a dangerous
gleam in her eyes. "Then, why are we having snow in April?"
"The weather can be
unpredictable..."
Tsunade scoffed. "Shikaku told me
about your tree decorating in December!"
"That was a joke to mess with
him," Harry protested.
"Konoha has never had snow like
this before," Tsunade said, the accusation clear in her voice.
"Do you really think that I've
manipulated the weather?" Harry asked with disbelief.
"I don't know. But I want it
fixed," Tsunade warned him as she sipped on her steaming cup of
tea.

"I can't believe you told the
Hokage that I'm the reason behind this weather," Harry said as
he bit down on the daifuku he'd gotten.
Shikaku glanced at him with a pointed
look.
"You're just mad you have to keep
buying me food," Harry said with a shake of his head.
"Since it's founding, Konoha has
never had snow in April," Shikaku said.
"How can you possibly know that?"
"Because we keep records,"
Shikaku said. "The only anomaly this year was your... call for
snow. You need to do something to send the snow away."
"There's no such thing,"
Harry grumbled in between bites.
"Are you sure?" Shikaku
tightened the brown scarf around his neck and glared at the fluffy
white snowflakes that fell from the sky. "Maybe there's a call
for spring that you need to do."
Harry frowned in consideration as some
snow landed on his daifuku. "After the December celebrations, it
should be..." Harry paused.
"What?" Shikaku asked with
open desperation.
"I don't actually know the dates,"
Harry admitted. “I think it's something that's celebrated in
March.”
"No one cares about correct dates,
just call for spring and get rid of this miserable cold weather. Do
you need to make something for the tree?"
Harry shook his head. "There's
something about painting eggs and then hiding them all around for
people to find... and then chocolate? Or a rabbit? A chocolate
rabbit?" Harry shrugged. "I think the painted eggs are the
most important bit."
A gust of freezing wind filled with icy
snowflakes smacked at their exposed skin.
Shikaku sighed. "How many eggs do
we need to paint?"

Shikaku, I understand your desperate
need to make the cold stop, but an egg-hunt is not the answer!
The weather has been so un-April this year! Snow! Cold! And more snow! Ugh, where's the nice mild sunshine I'm supposed to be enjoying?
