Let it Snow (Part 1.5)

🌟🎄🌟Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!🌟🎄🌟

I hope you guys have had a wonderful day/holiday season, and if not, I hope that it can only get better in the future.

For today, even though we haven't had any snow here recently, I actually have a bit of a continuation for this old post idea.

“Why are you stopping?” Shikaku asked, even as he tightened the scarf around his neck.

“That snowman is really well made,” Harry pointed out to a snowman that was the height of an adult male.

Shikaku eyed the snowman for a moment. “It's just three large balls of snow piled on top of one another. How can that even be called a snowman?”

“When he wakes up, I hope he's not offended by you saying that,” Harry said, not even trying to hide his amusement.

“The snowman isn't going to wake up,” Shikaku said. He paused, his eyes looking at the snow all around them and the snowflakes that were drifting down from the sky. “How exactly would a snowman wake up?”

“When someone puts a magic hat on his head, he comes to life.”

“To make more snow?” Shikaku asked in a serious tone.

“Don't be ridiculous. A snowman like him would just want to have fun,” Harry said. “Who better to have a snowball fight with then Frosty the snowman?”

Shikaku stared at him. “Why are you naming him?”

“I'm not naming him,” Harry said. “That's his name. There's a song about him.”

“I've never heard of such a song,” Shikaku stated.

AC_D6: Party Planner (Part 2)

I hadn't planned on ending Advent with another instalment of this AU, but it's been lingering in the back of my mind.

“You're still here,” Raidō said in greeting.

Harry nodded as he adjusted the last of the extra lights he had put in the room. “I still have to tell you about everything here for the party.”

“No need to tell me if you stay here,” Raidō replied.

“I'm not staying,” Harry said.

“You should,” Raidō retorted.

“It's not hard to know where everything is,” Harry told the older man. “I don't need to stay.”

“You need to stay,” Raidō said with a stern look, completely at odds with his words.

“But I want to sleep,” Harry said, unable to hide the whine in his voice.

“Did you even eat?” As though knowing that Harry hadn't eaten since morning, Raidō said, “You need to eat something before you sleep.”

Harry stared at the ninja with an incredulous expression.

Raidō paused as though replaying his last few words and grimaced. “Don't tell anyone I used a mom tone.”

AC_D5: A New Travel Companion

Every year, I forget just how tiring and hectic December can be.

Today's post is another crazy idea- one small change at the start of Harry's jouney that would lead to numerous good, bad and even terrible changes.

With the knowledge that no boats would be leaving the island of Redpool till the next day, Harry had a lot of free time on his hands so he decided to explore and enjoy some of the beaches. A few hours from the fishing village, Harry found a secluded stretch of beach surrounded by rocky cliffs.

Content to be well away from any person, Harry sat on a rock and closed his eyes as he took in the calming sounds of the ocean- the rhythmic crash of waves against the cliff rocks, the cry of seagulls in the air, and a loud exhale from the water.

A loud exhale from the water?

Harry opened his eyes and looked out at the ocean in confusion.

As he watched, another loud exhale from something in the water, created a high spout of water in the air. The spout of misted water created a faint rainbow.

Maybe it was a whale, Harry told himself as he squinted, looking for a fin or tail to confirm his suspicions even as seagulls circled above that area.

Another spout of water, much closer to shore than before, created another temporary rainbow in the evening sunlight. A large khaki head of something broke through the water surface for an instant, but Harry still couldn't tell what it was.

With the next spout of water, Harry realized that the creature was heading straight towards the shore at an impressive speed.

And more importantly, it wasn't a whale.

It was too late to leave the area without being seen by the incoming creature, Harry scrambled off his temporary seat and hid behind a tall collection of rocks.

Staying as low as possible in his hiding position, Harry watched as a giant creature, that was much taller and bulkier than a Hungarian Horntail, pulled itself out of the water and onto the beach.

AC_D4:Undead Horde (Part 2)

Today's post is a continuation of this idea. It's more a scene than an actual chapter, but it was a scene and situation that I really wanted to try writing out to see what it was like. I think it's got potential for serious expansion!

“Ahh!” Naruto yelled and pointed at the man at the Nara's front gate. “You.”

Harry startled at the sudden yell and rubbed his ear as he looked between his cousin and the Nara.
“You look like one of nii-san's creepy puppet people.”

“They're not my... wait, what?” Harry squinted at the Nara to get a better look at his face. “Oh no,” he said with horrified realization as the man's features lined up and matched perfectly with a face that Harry had purposely kept out of his mind since his time Suna. “Did you have a twin?”

The Nara stilled, surprised at the question, but nodded after a long uncertain moment.

AC_D3: Dobby, Don't!

This prompt-fill was supposed to be posted last December... but, well at least it's here now!

Sile: Dobby finds Harry in Konoha

DreamofStories: Dobby manages to find Master Harry Potter and his Ninja Cousin Master Whiskers.

These two prompts sounded utterly hilarious to fill out because of the potential for future Dobby induced chaos, so I kept that goal in mind as I wrote this out.

With the approved property papers in his hands, Harry entered the Uzumaki clan property, unsure of how to feel.

The happiness and pride he should have felt for getting the clan property was overshadowed by how he had gotten it.

Was getting a property worth all the unseen strings attached to it?

Harry didn't think so.

In fact, Harry was certain that the property would just bring in more problems then it was worth.

"Dobby has found you, Harry Potter, sir," a familiar voice said, sounding out of breath and completely alien among the thick trees of Konoha.

Harry hoped he was hallucinating from the lack of sleep and all the stress, but he still turned towards where the voice had come from.

Clad in an eye-watering combination of bright and clashing knitwear, that even the shadow of a tall tree couldn't dim, Dobby bowed with wet eyes and a wobbling smile when Harry looked at him.
"Dobby? Is that really you?"

AC_D2: Alternate Jobs- Party Planner

Day two of this year's Advent Calendar is Harry with another job possibility.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
“Party planner?” the ninja on the other side of the office table looked up from Harry's documents with open confusion. “Is that an actual job?”

“It's what I do,” Harry replied with a wry smile. It's what I have to do since it's on the papers, was the more honest reply to the question.

“What do you do as a party planner?”

Having spent almost three weeks trying to get to Konoha on his own, Harry had put a lot of thought into his 'job'. “When someone wants to have a party, they hire me to set things up. That means I find a place for the party, decorate it, get the food and just prepare everything. The person just has to show up and start the party.”

The ninja blinked at Harry. “You're just doing everything.”

“Pretty much,” Harry nodded.

“I've never heard of such a job,” the ninja said with a frown as he tugged on his goatee. “Then again, not many people throw parties in Konoha.”

“Everyone needs parties to celebrate,” Harry said. “They're the easiest way to make good memories.”

“Good memories, huh. That is definitely a rarity.” The ninja leaned back in his chair and look away from Harry. “What kind of parties do you do?”

“Everything other than weddings,” Harry replied without hesitation.

AC_D1: The Red Flame (Part 3)

It's that time of the year- the time to revive my blog with posts. Also time for Advent- but, how is it already December?

I haven't taken any prompts for this year's advent because that's probably way too ambitious for this revival. Mostly, there's going to be chapters from some of my fav AUs and hopefully some newer ideas. Not sure how many posts I'll manage, so let's see what happens.

In case you haven't read this Uchiha-centric time-travel AU, here's the previous parts:

Konoha in the past was a mix of tents in between a few wooden structures and numerous towering trees. Realizing that he was probably gawking like a tourist, Harry paused and chanced a glance at Madara.

Madara didn't bother hiding that he was watching Harry and even raised a questioning brow at him.

"There's a lot of big trees," Harry said. “They make it hard to know I am and where I need to go.”

Madara snorted. "Blame Hashirama for that."

"But the mountain makes it easier to find my way," Harry said, eyeing the bare mountain which would become the Hokage mountain. "Though, it's strange seeing it so… empty."

Madara frowned. "Empty?"

"It's," Harry hesitated, searching for the right word to describe the Hokage mountain with it's elaborately carved faces, "more decorated in the future."

Madara glanced at the mountain with a suspicion and distaste. "Why?"
