"Harry the farmer, where his crops mysteriously never get fungus or
insects or dry out for lack of rain. Oh! Harry the rainmaker!"

“You've never had snow here in
Konoha?”
Naruto shook his head. “But we saw a
lot of snow when we went to the Land of Snow. We didn't get to enjoy
it all that much because it all disappeared when we activated the
spring machine thing.”
“The what?” Harry asked in
surprise.
“It's a machine that ended the long
winter and brought spring to the Land of Snow.” Naruto scratched
his chin and looked a bit sheepish, “It's a long story. But why are
you asking about snow.”
“Because it's December and there
needs to be snow. Deep snow that allows people to have a day off to
build snowmen or sit inside and drink hot chocolate.”
“Hot chocolate?” Naruto asked with
deep interest.
“Hot chocolate tastes much better
when it's snowing outside and you're sitting inside by the warm
fireplace,” Harry said, a mischievous determination overcoming him.
“I'm going to make sure Konoha has a snow day!”

“Decorating a tree will bring snow?”
Shikaku asked with a tone that implied that he didn't believe that
one bit.
Making sure he was in a safe spot on
the ladder, Harry glanced down at Shikaku as he tied a glass bauble
to the tree. “This isn't just any tree. It's a fir tree.”
“What's so special about a fir tree?”
“Lots of things make this fir
tree really special,” Harry said, as he reached into his bag and
pulled out another glass bauble. “It's got a really strong
citrus-scent, which I'm sure you can smell.”
Shikaku made an agreeing sound.
“A very nice smell. And given how
tall it is, it's been growing for a very long time,” Harry said
with sureness in his voice. “You've done a good job letting it grow
undisturbed on your property.”
“What does this all have to do with
the snow?”
“This tree is perfect for hanging all
these ornaments,” Harry replied with a cheery grin. “Doesn't
matter how heavy they are, these branches can bear the weight well.”
“Speaking of...glass ornaments,”
Shikaku said as he tapped one of the low-hanging ornaments. “Where
did you get those from?”
“I made them,” Harry rummaged through his bag of transfigured and charmed decorations. “It's not anyone was selling them here.”
“You made them?” Genuine surprise
filled the older man's voice.
Harry nodded as he hung a white glitter
filled bauble on the tree.
“And hanging those ornaments will
bring the snow?” Shikaku asked. “If so, they'll hang there
forever.”
“When it does snow,” Harry said.
“You'll never be able to ask me to play any board game with you.”
Shikaku snorted. “And with all that
free time, I suppose I'll treat you to food.”
Harry shrugged as he pulled out a
string of lights from his bags and took another step up on the
ladder. “I'm always happy to get food. There are so many
restaurants in Konoha that I've never eaten from.”
Shikaku shook his head. “Keep
dreaming.”

“Hello, Nara-san,” Harry said with
a grin, his boots sinking down into the ankle-deep snow. “Looks
like there's a bit of snow out here.”
Shikaku sighed but put on his boots. “I
never imagined you as a person who gloated.”
Harry shrugged. “Don't be such a sore
loser. Naruto was talking about a sweet shop, so let's go and get...”

Shikaku's gonna go broke at the sweet shop.
