Let it Snow (Part 1.5)

πŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸŒŸMerry Christmas/Happy Holidays!πŸŒŸπŸŽ„πŸŒŸ

I hope you guys have had a wonderful day/holiday season, and if not, I hope that it can only get better in the future.

For today, even though we haven't had any snow here recently, I actually have a bit of a continuation for this old post idea.

“Why are you stopping?” Shikaku asked, even as he tightened the scarf around his neck.

“That snowman is really well made,” Harry pointed out to a snowman that was the height of an adult male.

Shikaku eyed the snowman for a moment. “It's just three large balls of snow piled on top of one another. How can that even be called a snowman?”

“When he wakes up, I hope he's not offended by you saying that,” Harry said, not even trying to hide his amusement.

“The snowman isn't going to wake up,” Shikaku said. He paused, his eyes looking at the snow all around them and the snowflakes that were drifting down from the sky. “How exactly would a snowman wake up?”

“When someone puts a magic hat on his head, he comes to life.”

“To make more snow?” Shikaku asked in a serious tone.

“Don't be ridiculous. A snowman like him would just want to have fun,” Harry said. “Who better to have a snowball fight with then Frosty the snowman?”

Shikaku stared at him. “Why are you naming him?”

“I'm not naming him,” Harry said. “That's his name. There's a song about him.”

“I've never heard of such a song,” Shikaku stated.

Let it (not) Snow

A short sequel to this prompt from December, inspired by the current weather.

"It's April," Tsunade stated, her hazel eyes narrowed with impatience and irritation.

Unlike the persistent chill in the office, being the sole focus of the Hokage's dangerous mood made Harry shiver. Harry nodded even though he didn't want to and said, "It is."

"A spring month when the weather gets comfortable," Tsunade said. “Not too warm or cold or wet. A good month to be outdoors. Don't you agree?”

Harry nodded cautiously. "Yes?"

Tsunade leaned forward, a dangerous gleam in her eyes. "Then, why are we having snow in April?"

"The weather can be unpredictable..."

Tsunade scoffed. "Shikaku told me about your tree decorating in December!"

"That was a joke to mess with him," Harry protested.

"Konoha has never had snow like this before," Tsunade said, the accusation clear in her voice.

"Do you really think that I've manipulated the weather?" Harry asked with disbelief.

"I don't know. But I want it fixed," Tsunade warned him as she sipped on her steaming cup of tea.

AC_D10: Prompt Fill: Let it Snow

A prompt fill for Notloggedin. A mix of these two prompts "Harry wanting to give Naruto 'a good christmas' so he goes all out with a tree and transfigures all the decorations he's come to expect from hogwarts- shiny and glittering, 'fairy lights' wrapped around the balcony and special Xmas food etc - and completely baffling to everyone who sees it but also everyone kind of loves the image it makes (does it snow in Konoha?) and it catches on."
&
"Harry the farmer, where his crops mysteriously never get fungus or insects or dry out for lack of rain. Oh! Harry the rainmaker!"

“You've never had snow here in Konoha?”

Naruto shook his head. “But we saw a lot of snow when we went to the Land of Snow. We didn't get to enjoy it all that much because it all disappeared when we activated the spring machine thing.”

“The what?” Harry asked in surprise.

“It's a machine that ended the long winter and brought spring to the Land of Snow.” Naruto scratched his chin and looked a bit sheepish, “It's a long story. But why are you asking about snow.”

“Because it's December and there needs to be snow. Deep snow that allows people to have a day off to build snowmen or sit inside and drink hot chocolate.”

“Hot chocolate?” Naruto asked with deep interest.

“Hot chocolate tastes much better when it's snowing outside and you're sitting inside by the warm fireplace,” Harry said, a mischievous determination overcoming him. “I'm going to make sure Konoha has a snow day!”
