So it's been almost two weeks in to the NaNoWriMo and can I just say... woah! Intense and definitely painful for my fingers.
How have I been doing so far?
When I first started out, I kept in like with the daily wordcount- sometimes even writing a lot more. I suppose that made me a bit too overconfident and lax. Because I thought I could skip a day. Read a new manga as a sort of relaxation... yes, my resolve is that weak and my need to procrastinate is that great.
Needless to say I got a wee bit too interested in the manga, and ended up losing another day. So no writing in two days. My wordcount suffered.
And then my friends looked at me and said, "Weakling! Go Die!"
Ok, they didn't really say that (out loud, at least.). But they blatantly started mocking me with their impressive on schedule wordcounts. Which led me to do something rather Naruto-ish... I decided to write three days worth of words in one day- all to catch up.
And ...ouch! Are fingers even allowed to hurt like that? Maybe my fingers are just too weak? Weak un-writer-ly fingers... that suddenly seems to make a lot of sense. Why exactly does that make sense to me, right now?
I haven't even had the time to look through/edit AtO's chapter 11. But oddly enough I've had so many ideas for the story- it's hard to keep track of all of them.
But maybe all those new ideas were because of the recent chapters from the Naruto manga. Seriously, Kishimoto is making my brain hurt. I suppose that's a good thing, right? (Err if you do discuss anything from recent chapters here, mark it as a spoiler for other readers, just in case.)
Polar
P.S.- I have also realized I have no talent for coming up with names for characters. My main villain in the NaNoWriMo writing is a blank space.
P.P.S- Also the manga that distracted me from writing diligently was Eyeshield21...odd that I liked it considering it's about American Football but I guess procrastination made it interesting.
P.P.P.S- Err, I really apologize if this post seems a bit off/wonky- my brain does feel rather mush-like at the moment.
