A question that I always ask myself when I find and read through yet another unfinished story of mine.
It's one of those maddening things about writing for me.
I have so many stories, but they don't have proper endings (some even have middles missing). And when I decide to read those stories in hopes of getting ideas to finish them... the only thing in my mind is "Why isn't this complete?"
So reading my incomplete stories= not helpful at all. Well that's not true. Sometimes reading those incomplete stories does put me in a creative mood for writing other stories. Sometimes.
Other times, I really wonder if they'll ever be finished so that I can upload them on ffnet.
And then there's Complicated Detour- which is finished and right there. And I still don't feel like uploading it. In this case my mind is going, "Why isn't this online?"
As for AtO chapter 14- I deleted a chunk of text (or rather I'm moving it to a future chapter) and the wordcount is in the 8200+ range. Not good but not bad. At least I'm not having problems with writing.
Out of curiosity- which Naruto character do you think plays a big role in chapter 14? I want to see if I've been too predictable.

asdfghjkl uhhhhhhhhhh... following the seals book that i guess Harry will try out, maybe Jiraiya? But he left sooo there is the entire magic-revealed-to-Naruto-thing so maybe he tells the Hokage? Or Kakashi or Sakura maybe? And one of them plays a major part? Hmmmmm, you know what, i'll go with Kakashi. Just because we barely saw him in the previous chapter.

ReplyDeleteI was thinking, when Harry hears Jiraiya is dead, he maybe gets real sad and decides to go to Rain to get the body, cos being dumped in the bottom of a lake sucks! When he gets there, Pain can be like "Intruder alert, send in the drones!" and sends Itachi to investigate. And that's how they meet again! Harry Accio's the body and seals it in a scroll, just as Itachi comes by. And Itachi's thinking "This dude isn't even a ninja, I don't want to kill him" or something like that and escorts Harry out. As soon as He's clear, Harry flies like a bat out of hell back to Kanoha, just as Naruto's Freaking out about where he's gone.
Or something.
Or maybe Harry gets a call from Ron saying he's gotta come home cos war's broken out and ol' no nose is back.
That's my suggestion anyway.
Oh, and for the love of cheese, please update CDTE!
I'm thinking.... No idea. I haven't followed canon since the 8th manga. Harry donates money, which clues someone in to the fact that he's reasonably wealthy? Something happens where Harry is faced with the chance to help one of the ninja close to him - I dunno, they're poisoned with something they can't counter or have lost a limb and are all depressed - and has to weigh the possible danger of revealing his otherworldly medicines against the desire to help? I'm waving a flag for someone being dosed with skelegrow.

ReplyDeleteMaybe Naruto itself? XD I mean, Jiraiya will die soon and of course Harry will comfort Naruto as he help him become stronger? I don't know if I'm right but if there is one thing that I'm sure of is that I'm excited for the next chapter! XD
ReplyDeleteNope. But funnily enough he actually appeared in one of my earliest drafts for chapter 13... until I removed that entire scene. Fun guess though.

ReplyDeleteI thought Jiraiya ended up in the bottom of the ocean- not a lake. But I have to say, your summarizing is hilarious. Pein drones, helpful Itachi and cool Harry are all ingridients to an awesome story- alas not chapter 14.
ReplyDeleteSince you've mention it, it would be fun to have a ninja have to drink skelegrow. Izumo and Kotetsu would both have an amusing reaction if they had to drink it. I think the most amusing reaction to drinking skelegrow would be from Shikaku Nara...or Kakashi.

ReplyDeleteAww no Zenza-san? Then i'll guess Iruka. He is Naruto's First Precious Person and if Jiraiya will really die, Harry will most likely meet him. I think you mentioned it somewhere before, but are you doing NaNoWriMo this year?
