A prompt that came in through the ask
box ages ago. I wasn't completely sure how to fill it, so have a
quick snapshot format for this.

1.
“But I don't want to go shopping,”
Naruto whined. “It's so boring. Can't we do anything else?”
“I promise to keep the shopping trip
as short as possible. We just need to get a few things before we can
go to the other places I have planned.” Harry lifted the innocuous
looking figurine of a brown owl. “For now, make sure that you don't
let go of this.”
Though still annoyed at the thought of
even a little shopping, Naruto moved to Harry's side and got a good
grip on the owl figurine.
Harry smiled and activated the portkey.
Naruto's thrill from the portkey travel
evaporated as he eyed the Leaky Cauldron's dingy interior as they
stepped out of the portkey arrival point.
Even though he was disguised, Harry
greeted Tom with a polite wave and a nod and directed a bored looking
Naruto through the pub and to the back where the brick wall was.
Harry tapped the bricks but kept his
eyes on Naruto, grinning at the sheer amount of awe on his cousin's
face.
“This is all yours?” Naruto gaped
at the gold that filled Harry's vault.
“My parents and I suppose my
ancestors' money more than mine,” Harry said. “I didn't earn any
of it. I just inherited it.”
“Nii-san, you could buy an entire
country. No, two countries,” Naruto said. “I've never seen this
much real gold in front of me.”
Harry filled his pouch with enough
money for the things he had planned. “I'm sure there are vaults
deep inside the bank that are filled to the very top with gold.”
Naruto turned to him with wide eyes.
“How many countries would they be able to buy?”
“All of them probably.”
3.
“Pretty,” Naruto said with a grin
as he scratched the tiny owl's head.
The grey owl closed it's eyes and
tilted it's head back with pleasure at the attention. But a black cat
curled around Naruto's legs, trying to steal back his attention and
scratches from the tiny owl.
“Not exactly what I was expecting to
buy you,” Harry said after a moment. “But it would be a shame to
leave them here when they like you so much.”
Naruto turned to him with wide eyes.
“You're buying them?”
“You don't want like them?”
“I like them,” Naruto said in a
rush. “But I... ninja don't have pets.”
Harry huffed and dipped into his money
pouch. “We're getting them.”
4.
“They'll be fine,” Harry reassured
his cousin as they walked out of the house.
“But isn't it weird to leave them
with other people when I just got them?” Naruto said, looking back
in concern.
“We can't take a cat where we're
going,” Harry said. “It'll be dangerous.”
“Where are we going?” Naruto asked
with a frown.
Harry just grinned and held out a new
portkey, this time shaped as a cat figurine. “Someplace
interesting.”
Naruto looked a lot less sceptical than
before as he reached for the portkey.
They landed in a dim tent.
A red-head moved forward to greet them.
“Harry?”
“Charlie?” Harry said even as he
shook the older Weasley's hand.
Charlie grinned, a smile as wide as his
siblings and said, “Welcome to Romania.”
5.
“You know, we're not here to buy a
dragon,” Harry said.
From where he was carefully petting a
tiny baby dragon, Naruto said, “I know that.”
“You say that but you're still
petting it like a cat,” Harry pointed out with amusement.
“He's sick,” Naruto huffed.
“Everyone likes more attention when they're sick.”
As though understanding Naruto's words,
the dragon purred in it's sleep.
“Come on, don't you want to go and
see the grown up dragons?” Harry prodded. “The Hungarian
Horntails are a sight to see.”
Naruto glanced at the baby dragon,
looking torn.

I like this format. It's quick and easy to write.
Might do some more of these in the future,
