Despite my big hopes to post tons of stuff, this is going to
be the final post for Advent this year. For the posts that I didn't
get around to putting up, I'll post them after all the holiday going
ons.
Speaking of the holidays, I hope you
all have a wonderful time within the next few days- whatever you are
celebrating or not celebrating.
For this final advent post, I'm
actually going to start a new series on the blog- based on one of my
old brainstorms- mostly so that I can explore writing with some
different characters in an AtO-ish setting.

As he concentrated on the voice, Harry
swallowed and grimaced in disgust at the bitter taste that filled his
mouth. He opened his eyes, the blurry vision making him close them
again.
“They definitely got you good,” the
voice hissed as something wiry and hard smacked against Harry's nose.
“Makes sense since they were kidnapping you.”
Kidnapped. Harry jolted up and forced
his eyes open, straightening his askew glasses.
“Finally awake,” a white haired man
with glasses said from a good distance away.
A small purple snake slithered around
Harry's neck and raised it's tiny head to his eye-level. “You don't
need to talk to that one.”
“Definitely don't talk to that one,”
another voice hissed.
Harry turned to the side as whatever he
had been sleeping on, moved.
A large grey snake, with a head bigger
than Harry's head, placed it's head on Harry's shoulder but coiled
it's large body tighter around Harry as it hissed, “Kabuto thinks
he's afforded respect just because he works for Orochimaru. He needs
to learn his place. Especially with how far Orochimaru has fallen.”
“What?” Harry said in confusion, a hiss coming out as he stared at the snake.
“Fascinating,” the man, Kabuto
said. “The reports were true.”
“See, he's not worth talking to,”
the small purple snake said.
“I shouldn't have saved you,” Harry
said, the hisses sliding over his tongue with ease.
The grey snake around him curled up, so
that's it's body covered more of Harry. “So you weren't lying?”
The purple snake hissed indignantly.
“Of course I wasn't. Why would you even come here if you didn't
believe me?”
“Seemed like an easy way to bother
Orochimaru.”
“Orochimaru?” Harry asked.
A loud laugh filled the air, making
Harry's neck prickle in unease.
“What an interesting specimen you've
acquired, Kabuto,” the newcomer said, his slitted golden eyes fixed
on Harry with a predatory light.
“That's him,” the grey snake
hissed. “He doesn't understand us like this.”
“Are you sure? He looks very snake
like,” Harry hissed, curling down so that he was more hidden by the
grey snake's body.
“He wishes,” the snake hissed with
a derisive noise. “Look he's already summoning because he can't
handle how things are going. Looks like I overestimated him.”
With a puff of smoke, a brilliant
yellow and brown snake that was much larger than the grey snake
appeared beside Orochimaru.
Hissing louder than Orochimaru's
questions, the grey snake said, “Come here, this boy can speak like
us.”
The new snake stared.
“I'm very confused,” Harry hissed
with a sigh. “Where's Hedwig?”
The new snake left Orochimaru's side
and stopped in front of Harry. “What is that?”
The snake around his shoulder sounded
almost excited as she said, “When you were getting kidnapped, I
told your owl to try and get help for you. I'm sure she'll be here
soon.”
With perfect timing, a loud screech
filled the air.
Harry turned to the sound of his owl
only to pause in confusion. His white owl was perched on the
shoulders of a black haired male. “Itachi?”
The snakes around him started, but only
the one around his neck replied. “No, that's Sasuke. How'd she get
him to come here?”

Again, hope you have a wonderful holiday, whatever you end up doing.
