Today, I'm going to put up a crossover/fusion plotbunny that was inspired by two things.
1. The 20th anniversary Sailor
Moon relaunch that I recently found even though it's been out for quite a while.
2. Naruto's lacklustre ending.
Warnings: Not as edited as I'd like and... it's a bit crazy? But then again, everything I write is a bit crazy. Also, plotholes.

The moon's bright light taunted him
with promises of power and freedom.
Vowing yet again that he'd conquer it,
he turned away from made his way through the darkness to a hidden
cave. A cave that he'd found years ago when he'd been near death. The
cave that housed the being that had healed him and given him another
chance.
As he stopped before a crystalline
altar, a pale woman's spirit appeared. Her delicate features twisted
into a mockery of welcome as she looked at him. Her third eye-with nine tomoe arranged on ripple
like patterns-gleamed with greed.
“Have you brought more energy for me,
Madara?” The woman asked, her voice soft unable to hide her menace.
Madara unsealed the scroll and pulled
out the large group of unconscious ninja he had captured.
The woman's face twisted in pleasure as
a hazy red dome surrounded the group of ninja.
His skin prickled at the raw amount of
energy being channelled in through the air but he forced himself to
stay still and watch.
Within moments, the woman looked
brighter than before.
Madara spared the mummified corpses a
brief glance before they crumbled into ash.
“I can raise the generals now,” the
woman said, her lilac eyes glancing off in the distance. “While
they gather energy for me, you can bring me the Silver Crystal.”

Even though the rest of her team were
fighting against dangerous missing-nin, Sakura felt completely at
ease for the first time since she stepped on the bridge.
Kakashi-sensei had said that the mist
would disorient her but Sakura felt the complete opposite happen. The
thick mist sharpened her senses till she could pinpoint a multitude
of things in the mist- the location of her teammates, their chakra
and even the jutsus being used in the battle.
Not wanting to lose her new ability by
questioning how it worked, Sakura concentrated on Naruto and
Sasuke-kun's battle with the ice user. The drastic drop in
temperature around them and the ease with which their opponent
controlled his ice rankled Sakura.
Before she could question why it
bothered her, Sasuke-kun's chakra disappeared and a dark chakra -one
filled with malice and hatred- filled her senses.
Her mind churned and her body shook.
Sakura wanted to get out of the mist
and hide.
But the horrid chakra was in her
teammates' location. She couldn't abandon them to whatever
monstrosity had appeared.
She concentrated on the mist and the
dark chakra invading it, trying to figure out how she could help.
Buried deep within the hate filled
chakra, something bright and achingly familiar reached out to Sakura
and brushed against her senses. It's comforting brightness drove away
her fear.
“Wake up,” the brightness seemed to
say. “Protect.”
Sakura's chakra rushed forward to the
brightness, keeping it afloat amidst the hate filled chakra. A new
strength filled Sakura as her chakra drained away. A strength that
unlocked a plethora of memories.
Memories that echoed some of the games
she used to play with Ino. Games where they both pretended to be
warriors who protected a... “Princess?” Sakura said, with wide
eyes.
The mist thickened, ice cracked and
water roared as Sakura ran forward.

The moment they were done with the
mission office, Sakura stifled her urge to follow Naruto and made her
way through Konoha to a place she hadn't visited in a long time.
“Forehead, why are you standing at my
front door like a weirdo?”
Sakura stared at the blonde for a long
moment, trying to find something to say. “Venus?”
A flicker of something passed through
Ino's eyes before she scoffed. “Aren't you too old to want to play
those old games.”
Sakura could feel her powers rise up.
The urge to gather the water around her and shroud herself in
comforting mist.
Something must have shown on her face
because Ino paused. Really paused and stared. “Sak...”
Sifting through her memories, Sakura
said, “Sasuke-kun is nothing like Kunzite.”
Disbelief and hope warred across Ino's
face.

As you can see- some botched
reincarnation happened all around.
Here's the parts that I'm sure of.
Serenity became Naruto and he can't
access Sailor Moon's/Serenity's power. Also he doesn't know that he was the moon princess. But the other sailor
senshi are still female. Sakura is the second senshi to wake up.
Madara is Queen Beryl. He's the
antagonist, he's got crazy hair, can brainwash people and is most
likely to awaken an ancient evil. Also, fixed on the moon being able
to give me him power. Perfect casting, right?
Everything else is a big question mark
because I haven't really spent time working out the details.
